It cannot be denied that September’s Meizu PRO 5’s launch along with its great attractive features was an immense blow to the market. However, the new smaller and improved 5.2 inch Meizu PRO 6 is here too.
The phone has a 1080 pixels resolution with a Super AMOLED screen but the 5.2 inch display was a surprise in comparison to the expected 5.7 inch display. Though the much previous MX5 had also been a 5.5 inch display but the splendid 3D press feature for Meizu’s alternative to 3D touch has captured all the show.
The phone features the curved Gorilla Glass 3 protector screen along with MediaTek Helio X25 chipset as the 10 core processor and Mali-T880 GPU have been incorporated too. While the 6GB expectations fall short, the phone is a 4GB RAM device option.
Moving on to the camera, the 10 LED dual tone is arranged in a circular fashion though it is not a typical ring flash. With 21.1 MP resolutions measuring 1/2.4 inches the sensor also has a laser and phase detection AF. The faster chargeable 2,560mAh battery might seem small but with the 24W mCharge 3.0 it is not a flaw at all.
Priced at $385 or CNY 2,500 for the 32GB variant and $430 or CNY 2,800 for the 64GB variant, the phone shall be available from 23rd April 2016. Looking at the prices and specs, one can say that the PRO 5 was actually much expensive than this PRO 6 since it has almost very similar features.
